For Global Clearance Solutions, we developed an FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) combined with SLS parts version of their GCS-200 demining device. The GCS-200 is state-of-the-art. It is designed for heavy-duty clearance (Anti-Personnel and Anti-Tank mines) tasks with maximum survivability in high-threat environments. Our role was to ensure that the prototype met the highest standards of precision and functionality. FDM models are both cost-effective and fast to produce, making them ideal for quickly creating functional prototypes. Our team worked closely with the client to ensure the scaled-down model captured the key features and functionality of the GCS-200, while also considering the best size and level of detail based on the project’s purpose and budget.

Our process for creating this model involved:

1. Purpose Assessment: We first discussed the specific purpose of the model—whether it was to be a gift, an exhibition piece, or a highly detailed replica for testing purposes. For the GCS-200, our focus was on capturing the key features of the device for practical demonstrations and evaluations.
