ESD-ABS / PETG

Durable thermoplastic materials with excellent qualities, designed for application requiring protection against electrical discharge. It has visible structure of layering material. It’s not suitable for models with complex geometry and fine details.

ESD (electrostatic discharge) ABS or PETG material with target surface resistance 107109 Ohm. It is compounded according to a proprietary formulation of carbon additives and process / dispersion modifiers.

Typical use

ready-made functional products, spare parts, quick and cheap prototypes, figurines, body decoration

Maximum size1: Z-ULTRAT – 200 x 200 x 185 mm
Minimal wall thickness: 0,8 mm
Minimum detail size2: 0,4 mm
Layer height: 0,1 – 0,3 mm

1 largest model size printed as one piece, larger models are required to be printed as separate parts but they can easily be connected
2 details and structures of models smaller than the minimum details size can be wrongly portrayed or get lost entirely

Finishing

The final model can be edited further to achieve smooth surface. All kinds of modeling or acrylic sealant sprays are effective in sealing.

EDS-ABS can be also glued by acetone, in which it can be dissolved.

Technology

FDM (Fused deposition modeling) technology prints models by layering thin layers of material made from melted plastic fibres. This creates a firm structure with laminated surface
